Airforwarders Association to Testify at U.S. Senate Committee Hearing

This invitation is a great honor and further recognition of the Association's relevance to Congressional staffers and TSA officials. I want to thank all of our members for their input as the Association developed a policy position on CCSP and invite all of you to continue to share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas for improvement with me and Ann Crampton, our administrative director. It is only through this input that I am able in my capacity as executive director to effectively represent the myriad opinions of our diverse membership. It is my sincere hope that my testimony on Monday reflects those opinions adequately.

Specifically, the Association's testimony will focus on the progress of the CCSP, oversight of certified cargo screening facilities, screening technology, the efficiency of the global supply chain, and other air cargo security topics. Also, I will provide our viewpoint on air cargo oversight by the TSA and, specifically, the Indirect Air Carrier Program. I will be sharing a copy of the written testimony with the membership immediately before the hearing; in the meantime, if you have specific concerns or comments, please do not hesitate to call me directly.

Airforwarders Association Board Director Richard Fisher of BTX Global Logistics will be joining me and providing his valuable insight during the hearing testimony.
