Hello-

The Airforwarders Association takes our mission very seriously - to be an effective advocate for members and to provide information and education to the airforwarding industry. As such, in 2009 we continue our extensive national tour, visiting regional air cargo associations to provide information about regulatory and Congressional activities so all our members are prepared to face upcoming challenges. It is also an opportunity for the Association to learn more about the local issues impacting your businesses to make us more effective advocates on your behalf.

The Association believes it is critically important to have our existing members engaged in these local cargo events. As such, it is our hope that, by keeping you informed of where AfA has been speaking and where we will be in the future, we will see many of you attending these events and spreading the AfA message. It is our strength in numbers, creativity and cohesiveness that has assisted us in winning many battles and gaining recognition with policy makers, and only with your ongoing involvement can we continue to achieve success.

This week and next, we have two informative and exciting events coming up in Dallas and Orlando. We certainly hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you.

DALLAS
The Airforwarders Association will next be in Dallas this Wednesday, February 11, 2009 for lunch at the Cross Timbers Winery in Grapevine. If you would like to attend the event, please RSVP online at www.dfwaca.com. Seating is limited to the first 105 people. Contact Al Kalmbach at 214-702-7030 or Jan Loftis at 972-425-3517 for more information.

ORLANDO
After Dallas, we will then be in Orlando on Thursday, February 19, 2009. You may attend this event by registering online at www.orlandoaircargo.com. Contact Hilda Brooks at 407-856-1500. The meeting will be at the International Plaza Resort & Spa, 10100 International Drive, Orlando, FL. 32821. Cocktails from 6:00 PM to 7:00 and dinner thereafter.

If you are a member of your local air cargo association and would like to discuss my availability to attend your next meeting, please let me know; I'd be honored to attend to work more closely with your region.
